Pleco Cave - Original

This original Plecoceramics pleco cave is designed specifically for plecos and other cave-spawning fish that rely on enclosed shelters for breeding and protection.

The classic tube-style shape is based on years of hands-on breeding experience and remains one of the most widely used cave designs for Bristlenose Plecos (Ancistrus), Hypancistrus, Peckoltia, and other pleco species. The enclosed interior provides the type of shelter many plecos naturally prefer when resting or spawning.

Unlike decorative aquarium caves, this design prioritizes function. The shape, dimensions, and narrow entrance are intended to provide a dedicated breeding and hiding space while remaining easy to place in breeding racks, grow-out systems, and display aquariums.

The textured clay surface gives the cave a natural appearance while maintaining the durability needed for long-term aquarium use.

Made from high-temperature fired brown clay, the cave is durable, inert, and safe for freshwater aquariums.

How to use

Rinse briefly under tap water before placing in the aquarium.

Position the cave on a stable surface with the entrance facing an open area of the tank.

Choose the appropriate size based on the species and size of the fish.
